Plain answers on dues, payment, your stores, and the health insurance form.
Dues and payment
What does membership cost, and how does the cap work?
Dunkin stores are $100 a year each, capped at $2,500 a network. Your first 25 stores are counted and the rest are covered by the cap, so a network with 30 Dunkin stores pays $2,500. Affiliated Limited Membership locations are $150 a year each with no cap. So 30 Dunkin stores plus 10 affiliated locations come to $4,000. Each CML carries its own flat fee, which your Stores page shows as you list it.
I already paid dues to my prior association this year. Do I pay again?
Not for your Dunkin stores. Once an administrator marks your network, your Dunkin stores show as covered at $0 on your Stores page and on the pay page. CMLs and Affiliated Limited Membership locations are still charged. If your Dunkin stores do not show $0 and you believe they should, write to info@dnfa.org with your Anchor PC before you pay, and we match your network and update the total.
How do I pay?
On the site, right after you sign your membership form, by bank transfer. Nothing is mailed. If you typed your bank details in by hand, Stripe, our payment processor, sends a one cent test deposit to that account whose description holds a short code starting with SM. Your payment waits until you enter that code on Stripe’s page, which your account page links to, and Stripe gives 10 days to do it. We mark the payment paid the moment your bank confirms it.
Your stores
Do I list all my stores, or only the ones with employees on benefits?
All of them. Membership is for your whole network, and dues are figured from the full list, with the cap keeping the total fair. Once you are enrolled, the broker works with you on which employees are eligible for the plan.
The upload says a PC number is already on another member’s network.
Someone registered that number first, often a management company or a seller. Email info@dnfa.org with the PC number and we sort it out. Nothing from that file was added, so you can remove that row and upload the rest now, then add the store once the row is cleared, or wait and upload the whole file after.
Can I bring my other brands and my management company?
Yes, as Affiliated Limited Membership under your Anchor PC: $150 a location a year, no cap, and it opens the group health plan to those locations. Add them on your Stores page, or on the Affiliated Limited sheet of the store file, any time before or after you sign.
Who is the owner login, and can I add my staff?
The person who registers the network is its owner. From the account page the owner can add up to three team logins, each with their own sign in, and name any of them as a signer for the membership form.
Health insurance
What is the deadline, and what happens after?
Initial documents are due November 13 for coverage starting January 1, so send your health insurance form as soon as you have signed and paid. After you send the form, BSB Consultants, the broker, reaches out to set up a one on one meeting and walks you through the offering. Membership itself stays open all year.
Where do I see the plans and rates?
They are not posted on the site, on purpose. After you enroll and send the health insurance form from your account, BSB Consultants walks you through the full offering one on one, for your network. Questions in the meantime go to dnfa@bsbconsultants.com.
Will my doctor be in the network?
BSB can check that for you before you decide anything. Ask them at dnfa@bsbconsultants.com.
Membership itself
What does membership do, and what does it not do?
It is the path to the group health plan for your network, and one voice for franchisees on the issues you share. It does not make DNFA the insurer, and it does not set who is eligible or what the plan costs.
Healthcare: DNFA membership does not guarantee eligibility for, enrollment in or coverage under any healthcare insurance program. The Website & Healthcare Disclaimer has the full picture.
How do I reach a person?
Write to info@dnfa.org or use the contact form. Every message reaches us by email, and we reply to the address you give.
Ready when you are.
Register with your Anchor PC, sign and pay on the site, then send the health insurance form.
